WIN (Women´s International Networking) held its 17th global leadership forum for the first time in Berlin

Over 750 female business leader gathered at the international pioneering event. Amongst them were three exceptional women, all of whom have been awarded the Global Inspiring Woman Worldwide Award.




The WINConference in Berlin

After successful meetings in Geneva, Rome, Paris, Barcelona, Prague, Oslo, Milan and other cities, this was the first time the pioneering event was hosted in Germany. From 1st to 4th October 2014 more than 750 leaders from 80 different nations attended the WINConference this year in Berlin.
Over the course of four days the conference offered 6 inspiring plenary sessions, 42 skill building workshop, 6 leadership forums, a lively market place and numerous networking opportunities. Like every year WIN also presented the ´WIN Inspiring Women Worldwide award´ for women who have managed to inspire others whilst embodying the organizations principles of the authentic, global and feminine.

Amongst others the speaker list included: Alison Goligher, British, Executive Vice President Unconventionals, Shell International Exploration & Production BV, Angelika Gifford, German, Vice President, HP Software DACH Region, Anita Pratap, Indian, Journalist & Author, Francesca Borgonovi, Italian, Policy Analyst, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Riccarda Zezza, Italian, CEO, Piano C, Stefan Dobovzky, Austrian, Member of the Managing Board, Royal DSM and many more.

The leaders discussed how to lead with grace while remaining intuitive, emphatic and true to themselves. The Global Inspiring Women Worldwide Award 2014

Each year WIN honors distinguished women for their dedication and work. They look for inspirational personalities from each of the following categories: Corporate Leaders, Social Entrepreneurs and Private Business Entrepreneurs. This year they have awarded three outstanding women from all over the world for the Global Inspiring Women Worldwide Award 2014.

Anita Pratap, India, Journalist and Author, Self
"I am an award-winning international journalist, author and documentary film maker with 30 years of experience in Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the United States. I was the South Asia Bureau Chief of CNN and also worked for Time Magazine and leading Indian media organizations. Currently I freelance, writing articles for international publications and am a speaker at global conferences organized by the United Nations, Governments, business conglomerates, universities and prominent think tanks across the world, ranging from the United States to New Zealand, on issues such as war, economic growth, media, politics, social justice, cultural diversity, environment, terrorism and women´s development. Have received many awards including the prestigious American George Polk Award for my coverage in CNN of the Taliban takeover of Kabul. My first book titled ´Island of Blood´ published by Penguin became an instant best-seller."

Karen Tse, United States of America, CEO & Founder, International Bridges To Justice
"A former public defender, in 1994, Karen Tse trained Cambodia´s first core group of public defenders and subsequently set up country´s first arraignment court. After witnessing thousands of prisoners of all ages being held without trials in inhuman conditions, Karen founded International Bridges to Justice in 2000 to promote systemic global change in the administration of criminal justice. Today IBJ has its programs in 26 countries, including China, India, and Rwanda. IBJ has created global platforms to bring assistance to public defenders worldwide. In 2010, IBJ launched the Justice Training Center in Singapore. A graduate of UCLA Law School and Harvard Divinity School, Karen was named by U.S. News & World Report as one of America´s Best Leaders in 2007. Karen was the recipient of the 2008 Harvard Divinity School´s First Decade Award, 2008 American Bar Association´s International Human Rights Award and 2009 Gleitsman International Award at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government."

Nuria Chinchilla, Spain, Professor, IESE Business School
"Ph.D. in Economics and Business Administration (University of Navarra). MBA from IESE Business School. Law degree from the University of Barcelona. Current Professor at IESE Business School and Director of the International Center for Work and Family (ICWF). Advisor at companies, governments and the UN. President of the consulting company NCH & Partners. Developer of the term CFR (Corporate Family Responsibility) and the Index of Family Responsible Companies (IFREI). Member of several councils and the Top Ten Management in Spain. Writer of books, such as ´Female Ambition´ or ´Masters of our Destiny´. Specialized in work and family, coaching and time management, interpersonal conflicts and leadership in management committees. The recipients of the Global Inspiring Women Worldwide Award 2014 were recognized during the opening networking dinner at the Global WINConference in Berlin on 1st October 2014. They received a WIN certificate in recognition of their achievement.
In addition, they were presented a special timepiece from the Collection Ladies Heart Beat created by Frederique Constant and designed by women for women to reflect the values and aspirations of today´s women. Two intertwined hearts forming an aperture in the dial revealing the 'heart beat' of the movement.
